A new chapter
With the start of March, spring is almost upon us. The season of growth and blossoming. For me, this moment feels extra special, because Lont & Co exists 5 year, and that feels like the right time for a change. After five years, I have consciously chosen a new name: Atelier Felien
From plant-based candles to a broader creative atelier
The story of Lont & Co began with the production of candles made from rapeseed wax. Each one was handmade by me, and mainly made to order. For many years, candles were the core of my work.
Over the past two years, my atelier has continued to grow with handmade ceramics. What started as an extension became an integral part of my creative process. There were periods when candles had my full focus, and other moments when ceramics took centre stage.
My work evolved. My portfolio expanded.
Why a new name?
The name Lont & Co was strongly associated with candles. But gradually I realised that the name no longer told the whole story, and I began to struggle with that. The name Lont & Co felt too limited for what I make today and for where I want to go in the future with my candles and ceramics.
That is why, with spring approaching, I have consciously decided to take the next step. Lont & Co was the beginning. Atelier Felien is how the story continues.
A personal name, with room to grow.
What will change?
The basics remain the same. My handmade candles made from rapeseed wax remain a staple in the studio. They are still produced with the same care and attention. What is changing is the balance: ceramics are taking their rightful place alongside the candles. There will also be collections, which I am very excited about, but I will make personalised candles or pottery.
This is the next chapter and I’m super excited!
